Sympathy from South Africa
I'm not Jewish but volunteer for a Jewish NGO in South Africa that develops and mentors people of all religions in business skills. They do a fantastic job.
But just after 7 October we had our annual graduation and awards function, and what saddened me terribly was the effect on the morale of these people who were so incredibly generous to their community. Indeed, the leader of this organisation was in Israel for her daughter's wedding on that weekend, and they had to hold the wedding in the basement of a hotel. I felt helpless trying to reassure them, and this was made worse because the dreadful government of South Africa, The #ANC political party, even went so far as to go to the International Court of Justice - on behalf of the Hamas terrorists. (They don't speak on behalf of the millions of peace-loving South Africans.)
